When I search for a song lyrics I also sometimes check opinions on that song and its meaning. Every damned time I believe to find some interesting and unusual thoughts, but if the song was written in 70s all I can find is:
(xxx): This song is surely about sex! The fourth verse begins with the word SHE, I bet the singer wanted to bang that misterious lady so badly!
(yyy): Nah, it's all about war. There's 41 words in that song, and 41=23+1+17. Now look at the alphabet! 23 - W, 1 - A, 17 - R. SEE? WAR. IT'S ABOUT WAR.
(zzz): Guuuuys this song is clearly about drugs cuz metaphors here are too complicated for me to understand! Yeaaah.
If that's true and all my favorite songs are about nothing but war, sex, and drugs, then pardon me, my whole world is broken (WORLD IS BROKEN DUDE IT'S A METAPHOR FOR WAR) I have to go and jump off the cliff (CLIFF IS MADE OF STONES DO YOU GET ME IT MEANS TO GET STONED), cuz all sophisticated and intelligent guys I adore (A GIRL ADORE GUYS YEAH SHE LIKES TO HAVE SEX) actually are lascivious morons who can only fress drugs and lazily predict that we're all gonna get our arses kicked by nuclear weapons. Uuugh.
Yeah, I might be overreacting, and hot topics of those times were exactly sex, war, and drugs, but I'll never believe that ALL songs were about it. I find so much more sense in the music of 70s.
